If you think that only women enjoy decorating the bathroom, then think again. Men are becoming more involved in the design process when doing up their bathroom and we see this frequently amongst our own clients.
Would you believe that before BAGNODESIGN Glasgow was officially open a man saw our copper bath display in the window and was ready to design his master bath in Aberdeen without even taking a design brief! Clearly, he saw what he wanted and went after it. So with Father’s Day just around the corner, we thought we would share some insider tips on what men really want for their bathroom.
LED Lighting
Lighting has always played a massive part of the design phase for interiors, but LED Lighting is now taking over men with a contemporary taste for their bathroom. LEDs can be found within the bathroom mirrors, outlined around the bath and built into alcoves. LED lighting has been super trendy across our male clients and has even been incorporated into wall-mounted mirrors to help achieve an even smoother shave.

A Huge Double Shower
The double shower is one of the first things men flock to in our showroom, so quick tip designers, make sure your displays include the biggest shower you have to offer. There was even a queue to take a tour of our shower stand when we were exhibiting at the Ideal Home Show Scotland this year that was male dominated. Bigger is better when it comes to Dad’s shower space.

Organisation
Within our design briefs over the last 18 months, we found that more men are concerned about the minimisation of clutter and issues of storage than many of their partner’s. Yeah….we were surprised too! It’s really important to design a bathroom that is built to function first and look captivating at a close second.
